You formatted the PC, or Windows was reinstalled by a technician, and now Word has disappeared. Don't worry: your Office licence still exists. You only need to install it again and activate it. The steps depend on how you originally activated.
First, find your licence details
- Check your order email, or My Licence Keys in your KeyForPC account.
- If Office was linked to a Microsoft account, remember which email you used.
Case 1: Office linked to a Microsoft account (Account Bind)
- On the PC, sign in at account.microsoft.com/services.
- Find your Office product and click Install.
- Run the installer. Office activates automatically when you sign in.
Case 2: Product key only (Phone Activation)
- Download the installer from the official link in your order.
- Install Office and enter the same key in Word.
- If online activation says the limit was reached, choose Activate by telephone. Steps are in our phone activation guide.
Case 3: Home or Home & Student
These are usually tied to a Microsoft account. Sign in at the same place as in case 1.

How many times can I reinstall Office?
Many times on the same PC. Moving to a different PC may need phone activation.
My key says it's used. What now?
That usually means online limits were reached. Use phone activation, or contact us with your order number.
